Required Supplies

• Paper plate

• Various coloured paints including brown

• Paper towel and hand wipes

• White Canvas (16×20)

• Tree Trunk Stencil

• Paint brush

Preparation Steps

• Stencil a tree trunk and branches onto the canvas.

• Paint the tree outline in brown paint and fill it in.

• If desired, add a title to the painting.

Activity Instructions

1. Squeeze paint of desired colour onto paper paint.

2. Using the paint brush, paint the colour onto the finger of the participant (I would recommend to just paint the surface so that the finger print can be recognized.

3. Ask or assist participant to use their finger to stamp onto the branch of the tree to create leaves.

4. Initial or sign the name of the participant under the leaf.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 with staff and participants who are interested in adding their print.

6. When completely dry, hang in a high traffic area for participants to enjoy. Ask them to find their fingerprint (if possible!). The colour of paint, the location etc.
