Required Supplies

• Fresh flowers

• Plastic and glass vases

• Scisscors

• Watering can and water

• Newspaper

• Tablecloth

• Twine

• Wrapping paper

• Small card

Preparation Steps

• Build a connection with a local florist or department store who would be willing to sell flowers at a discount (if possible)

• Place tablecloth on table and lay newspaper on top

Activity Instructions

1. Lay out the flowers on the table for participants to view.

2. Have participants pick flowers of their choice.

3. Pass out vases and/or wrapping paper for participants to make a vase of flowers or a bouquet to give away.

4. For flowers in the vase: cut stems to the desired length and place into vase (it helps to have flowers and fillers!).

5. For the bouquet of flowers: Cut wrapping paper into a large square and lay wrapping paper on the table. Cut stems to the desired length and tie together. Wrap the flowers and finish with a twine. Add a little sender card if you like!
