Create a cool effect using salt and watercolours.

Required Supplies

• Watercolour paints

• paint brushes

• table salt

• thick bristol board paper

• Aprons

• cups of water

• tablecloth

• Optional: Photo frames

Preparation Steps

• Lay tablecloth on table and distribute paper, brushes, cups of water, paints and salt.

Activity Instructions

1. Dip the brush into water to wet the brush.

2. Dip the wet brush into the paint and onto the paper.

3. Before the paint dries, add salt to the page to create a cool bubbly effect.

4. For less bubbles, add less salt. For more, add more salt.

5. Let dry.

6. Brush off excess salt.

7. Frame the art for decoration or a gift!
