Preparation Steps

Utility carts are great because they are compact, have shelves and are easily movable. Place a variety of books on the cart, as well as magazines and other activities.

Activity Instructions

• Take the cart around to rooms and ask if they enjoy reading and if they would like to borrow any books.

This is a great way to converse with participants and share book recommendations! Sanitize each participants hands if they would like to take the books from the shelf.

Activity Instruction Adaptations

• Recommendation: Ask participants about their favourite authors and books to build the library.
