Required Supplies

• Marbles

• Coloured Paints

• White cardstock paper

• Tray

• Spoons

• Gloves

Preparation Steps

Ask participants to use gloves for easy clean up.

Activity Instructions

1. Place the cardstock paper into the tray (paper can be tapped down so that it does not fold up or move around while rolling the tray).

2. Choose your choice of paints (it is recommended that 3-4 colours are used so that it does not get too messy).

3. Spoon the paints onto the canvas.

4. Place a desired amount of marbles into the tray and slowly roll them around to create an abstract design on the paper. 

5. Roll marbles to the side of the tray and remove.

6. Let dry and remove painting from tray.

 

Activity Instruction Adaptations

• The marbles can be replaced with various items such as dice or large beads.
