Preparation Steps

• Build a connection with a local school or community centre to bring in art pieces and create a showcase

• Ask if children and parents would like to attend the showcase so that they can interact with the partcipants and share about their creations

Activity Instructions

1. Book a space that is open and does not have a lot of furniture.

2. Invite the teachers, children, and their parents to join in an afternoon or evening of mingling and showcasing their art pieces.

3. Send out invitations to participants and create posters to display around the facility.

4. Put up easles and display art pieces OR stick art from the walls.

5. Create seated areas for people to congregate and chat if desired.

6. Purchase snacks and drink and set it up for participants.

7. Enjoy the night and encourage socialization between all participants!
